Jucha, heavily inspired and influenced by the legendary German filmmaker Rainer Werner Fassbinder presented this landmark production of Petra Von Kant as a tribute to its author on the 10th anniversary of his death. By setting the work in a small intimate site-specific environment, he forces the audience to become voyeurs into the horrors of obsessive love and loss.
"Brian Jucha's strong production is an intimate and sculptural chamber piece, performed in a parlor that gives the play an intense voyeurism. Eerie and sad, the sharp ache of Petra's masochistic love rings through the empty room long after the play is over." - The Village Voice
